Play Ball!

Good evening everyone!  Happy Friday!  I hope all of you have had a great day today.  I am so happy the weekend is here.  It's a long weekend for us.  Darbee is out of school on Monday and Tuesday...yippee!!  She is not too thrilled.  She informed me yesterday that she would just spend the night at school so she wouldn't have to miss it for four days.  Hehe...it warms my heart to know she loves it so much.

Since Darbee Rae wasn't doing dance class again this year, she wanted to try T-Ball.  She has a little friend who plays and she wanted to play with her.  I was excited to find out they had fall ball.  Perfect....not too hot!  We signed her up and she was excited.  She has had several practices as well as a practice game and loves it.  She is in a league with 3-5 year olds.  Some of them are so tiny!  They are too cute to watch.

Yesterday was her first game.  She was so excited to finally get to wear her uniform and play.

Just look at these little feet.  These are youth extra small athletic socks.  Her feet are lost in them!  It's so cute.  We have to "stuff" her feet into her tennis shoes.

She was so excited to get there and get on the field.

She is all ready and headed out to play!

They had their names printed on the back of their shirts and everything!
She is number 7.

They warm up by rolling the balls to each other.

Her team is the Texas Rangers.
They got to bat first.  They line up by shirt number, so Darbee was #7 to bat.
Bayleigh is her best friend.  She is beside Darbee with the pink batting helmet on.
Aren't they the cutest?

She patiently waited for her turn to bat and cheered her team mates on as they took their turn.

Finally, it was Darbee Rae's turn!
That's Coach Kevin standing near her.
He is the sweetest coach and WONDERFUL with the kids.

Yay!  Run run run!

She holds her helmet when she runs.  It is so funny!
They are a little big and will fall off if she runs fast. :)

She scored a run!  Wahoo!

When they are on the field, coach tells them to get "baseball ready."
Here's the pose.

Love it!

Time to hit again!
The league is great.  It is strictly for getting them used to playing and the procedures and techniques.  Each player gets a turn to bat and then they switch. They play two innings.  There is no outs and every child that hist runs the bases.  It is so fun to watch them and they have such a good time.

They play different positions too.  Darbee played third base, pitcher and outfield.
She did a great job!

They had another game tonight and she did great too!

She is loving it and so am I!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

We are off to the pumpkin patch tomorrow and have a fun weekend planned!

Until next time....

How fun it was looking at those pictures. They are just the cutest! I love how serious they take it. I think my favorite was her looking through the fence.
