Daddy, will you marry me?

As most of you know, hubby's uncle passed away several weeks ago.  Darbee is accustomed to visiting funeral homes and attended visitation with us.  However, the funeral day was going to be a long one.  It was out of town and hubby was a pallbearer.  Darbee Rae stayed behind with Nana and Papa and had a fun day.
It's not too often that hubby gets all dressed up.  Not often at all.  He wears the nice clothes to church, but they consist of dress khakis and a button up shirt.
He dug his suit out of the closet and squeezed in it once again for the funeral. Darbee was at school when we left, so she didn't see him.
Late that evening when we picked her up, we had already changed out of our dress clothes.  She was so disappointed when she didn't get to see her daddy in his suit.  I never thought about it.  She had never seen him in it and was so disappointed.
What did he do?
When we got home, he disappeared.  I had no idea what he was doing. He walked in the living room dressed perfectly.  Tie and all.
What did Darbee do?  She disappears too.  She reappears in the living room like this.
My heart melted.  She had gone and got on her "fancy" dress and veil and her pretty flowers.  I asked what she was doing and she looked at hubby and said, "Daddy, we are going to get married."
I wanted to cry.  It was precious.
She went over to her play kitchen and got a tiny little white flower and told hubby to bend over.  We have been to a few weddings and she knew he was supposed to have a flower too.  She stuck the tiny little flower in his suit just perfect.

They were ready.
We "sang" the bridal march and she walked in.
Don't you just love the look on her face?  So sweet.

Hubby met her and they stood before me.
They said "I do" and got married.

There was even a kiss.

They walked hand in hand "down the aisle" to leave.

It was perfect.

I heard her say to her daddy when they got in the hallway, "Now you get to go with me to eat!"
Hahaha!  That's my girl.

Until next time....
