Wanted: Mom to Rent

Those of you who have been following my mom's blog for a while already know how close we are.  Sometimes, I think it's a little unhealthy to be as close as we are.  People laugh at us...always have..always will.  She is my best friend.  Don't write her and ask how many times a day we talk on the phone. Ha!  You might be glad I am not your daughter. :) Before I got married, we had never been apart more than two days.  EVER.  Yes....hubby and I stopped by to see her and my dad the next morning before we left on our honeymoon.  Stop laughing.
Anyway....how do you think I felt when she called ME yesterday evening and said, "You might not want to hear this but your daddy and I are leaving for South Carolina tomorrow for his job. I have no idea how long we will be gone."  Whaaaattt????  My day was just ruined.  What did I do?  Make a beeline for their house and spent the evening with them before they left.  They are only supposed to be gone for two weeks, but we all know how road trips go.  Never as planned.
So how do I feel today?  Pretty lost.  I have hubby and Darbee Rae and my aunt Kakee who is like my second mom but I'm still pretty lost.  I have no one to meet in town after work and "roam."  We were supposed to have a girls trip to Pigeon Forge this weekend that is now put on hold. (Betty-we will let you know the date!)  Hmmm....
What do I need?  A mom to rent!  Anyone want to come down and "roam" afterschool with Darbee Rae and I?  Ha!  We don't have any great primitive shops, but I promise to show you around our town!  Oh-and will you give me your phone number so I can call anytime?  HaHa!
Have fun mama.  Enjoy your vacation.  You deserve it.  Love you so much.
I am so grateful to all of you for your sweet comments and for visiting my blog.  36 followers already!  Wow.  I can't thank all of you enough.
Until next time.......

  2. You are too funny!!! Hunting someone to take my place already (ha). You should just get in that car and hit the road Jack. You don't have school on Monday. Could get in a lot of shopping between now and then. Love all of you

  4. Hehehe, that's cute! I think it's sweet that you two are so very close! I know you will miss her lots while she is gone. I haven't been following Angela's blog long, but it didn't take me long to see how wonderful she is and how much love she has for you and Darbee Rae!

  5. Holly, Deb and I are the same way. We talk a dozen times a day! Amanda,Deb,Bet, and I love being together. We are always laughing and "roaming". Beth is in Il and not here often so we miss her. Be glad you didn't come to PF this weekend. It is to be cold and snowy. I can't wait for you all to come again. I want to roam with you. May Angela will feel the guilt for "ditching" you and bring you some wonderful goodies. We know Darbee will fare well!lol
