Getting a few things back in place

Hello friends,
My internet isn't fixed yet.  I still have to call them and set up an appointment.  We got a new t.v. for Christmas and had to have the cable company come out and run two new cable lines.  I am pretty sure the guy did something under the house to this existing line while he was under there.  Ugh...how aggrivating.
Will try and get them scheduled to come out VERY soon.

Thanks to Cindy over at Cynthia Lee Designs, I can now keep up with your blogs on my iPad.  She was so kind to walk me thru viewing blogs on it.  Yahoo!

Tonight, we came over to visit my aunt and I brought my computer along.  She has wi-fi so I can update my blog here.

I am so proud to be able to show off a few of my new pieces in my living room.
Here is my new cabinet that I found at Marshall's to go in between our two new recliners.
I just love it!
It is black and distressed.  The distressed parts have a dark brown showing thru which matches my chairs perfectly.

Here is a wall plaque I found.  Love the saying, "Live today with all your laughter, all your kindness and all your heart."

Here is a picture of our new recliners.
I am in love.
Hubby and I both got one.  We couldn't forget little Darbee Rae.  She also got her own "mini" recliner.
Will have to post a picture of it later.
I am happy with how the living room is coming along, but it's not there yet.  I have a good bit more I want to do.
Today was a pretty good day at work.  I teach pre-k and I have to admit...it's a challenge.  The group I have this year puts me to a test each day.  This is my fifth year teaching and I LOVE it, but this year has truly been a challenge.  Needless to say, I am counting down the days to winter break. Ha!

It's a rainy night here with a chance of storms.  I hope all of you have had a great day.
I hope to be able to visit with you all again soon.
Until next time...

  1. Hey Holly....Lovin the new table and the chairs! I love the black distress look for furniture. And I am in need of a new recliner like the ones you purchased, I need a high and firm seat so I can get this achy body out of the chair...:) Happy Wednesday...K

  2. Holly,
So glad that I could help. Love your new cabinet...Marshall's is one of my favorite places to shop. I have several pieces of furniture that are black with the brown distress areas...and they look great with our prim decor.
    hugs,
    Cindy
