On a happier note, we have been busy this week. I have been working more in my house and will have a few more pictures to share soon.
Yesterday was bittersweet. We went to visit a pre-school for Darbee to attend pre-k next year. I can't believe it. Where has time gone? It's so hard to believe my baby will start school next year.
There are three big churches in our local area that all have wonderful preschools. We went to visit the Presbyterian Pre-k yesterday. I have heard nothing but good about this one and wanted to check it out. This one is very academic driven which is what Darbee would enjoy. She is sooo anxious to read and doing very well with her letters and sounds. She can "read" several of her sight words and wants to read big words like mommy. We were very impressed with the facility and the program. The classes are small with a teacher and an assistant. They are very involved and make things "fun" plus it's only a 1/2 day program. It will be good for both of us. It will allow her to be away from me and get used to that and also give me a few hours a day for "me time." We are going to try and get her in, but registration isn't until March 13. I will definetely be there early on registration day!
The other day, I read a blog post about photography. This is a passion of mine. In my dreams, I would love to be a photographer. I absolutely love taking pictures. The blog post was discussing when you take pictures. I too like most of us take tons of pictures at special events like birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc. But...those big events you will likely remember. It's the small things you won't. The everyday moments. The blogger encouraged and challenged her readers to capture "real life" and the little things in each day that will quickly slip your mind. It was a great post that inspired me to do just that. Over the last few days, I have tried to snap those moments that are our life. Our every day living.
Enjoy.
Silly girl.
Enjoying a laugh with daddy.
A head to head chat. Ha!
Baking cookies with mommy.
Love the bed head.
"Spitting" with Papa. Haha..this makes me laugh so much.
Papa used to chew tobacco and Darbee Rae was amazed when he would "spit."
She has always wanted to spit like him. Today, they were outside playing and she came running in the house and asked for a sippy cup of water. I told her to get a juice box and she quickly asked "Can I spit it?" I busted out laughing knowing exactly what she was doing. I had to capture it. It makes me laugh.
Having a heart to heart with Papa. :)
Making Papa run.
Here's a real life pic. from my life last night.
I wish I could show you how LONG this line really was. There were several hundred ladies in line.
What were we waiting for? To get in to a consignment sale! Yes...I am crazy but not near as crazy as the ladies who were in line nearly 5 hours early. Wow! That's CRAZY!!! I consign at this sale each year and therefore get to shop on preview night before the sale opens to the public. It's crazy, but I get some awesome deals! I was very happy with the clothes I got last night for her. There is another on tomorrow that I will be at early in the morning. I just love these sales.
So..there you have it. Our real life. I hope I didn't bore you too much tonight.
I hope all of you have had a great day and were not hit with the terrible weather.
Until next time.......
Love the everyday pictures. Darbee Rae will too when she is a little older. Hope we are all safe tonight and you have fun in the morning.
