Easter

Good afternoon friends.  Wow!  It's been over a week since I last posted.  Guess life just happens huh?  Darbee Rae and I have kept busy.  We had a wonderful Easter weekend and I hope all of you did too. I'll go ahead and warn you, this post is picture heavy.  Yet another post I want to have the pictures included when I make another blog book.  :)

Saturday morning, we got up to go to a few yard sales before our egg hunt at church.  We went to one and then headed to an egg hunt at a local park just up the street from our house.  We went last year and really enjoyed it, so I was thrilled to see they were going to host it again this year.

Darbee Rae was so excited.  She got to hunt out on the big field with the 4-6 year olds this year.  That was a big deal ya know? !

Just look at all those eggs!  She ran right past so many.  It was too cute.  She would pick one up, and take off running to some more leaving behind 20 or 30 eggs.  So funny!

She ended up with a lot of eggs though!  She was happy and that's all that matters right?

They had face painting and of course, she wanted hers done.  She got a pretty egg that matched her outfit.

Then, she decorated an egg.  She worked so hard.
She was so proud of her egg.

Before we left, the Easter Bunny came for a visit!
She was so happy.

She got a balloon and a bucket full of eggs.
A great morning.

After that, we hurried to our church for our annual egg hunt.  We were so happy this year a friend of mine from high school and her kids and hubby were coming!  Darbee was so excited to hunt eggs with Bayleigh.

They were so cute together.

I just love this one.  They play so good together and I hope they can be great friends just like her mom and I.  If so, they will have lots of fun times together.

After they were done hunting eggs, they enjoyed opening their plastic eggs and eating the candy.  Darbee Rae also tried a boiled egg for the first time!  I was so proud of her as she is a VERY picky eater.  She ate the white part.  A good start I guess.

It was a very busy day and I was pretty tired!  So was Darbee Rae.

There are two special friends at church who always bring prizes for Darbee.  We decided to make special Easter surprises for them.
I loved how these turned out!  They were so cute!
I made and printed out the baggie toppers and then just took cotton candy and rolled it into balls.
They were a big hit.

I also made them personalized sidewalk chalk buckets!

Now...on to Saturday night.  Darbee Rae was so excited to get ready for the Easter Bunny.
While in Walmart the night before, she reminded me we had to buy food for the Easter Bunny.  When I asked her what she wanted to get, she replied, "Carrots and broccoli."  I have no idea where the broccoli idea came from, but whatever.

I couldn't believe my eyes when we found these...

HOP carrots!  We had just watched this movie earlier in the week and Darbee LOVED it.
Of course we had to get these.  THey were the perfect carrots that would call HOP to our house!  He would definetely smell these and want to come!

Saturday night, we were going over to my aunt's house, so she decided to set out the food before we went.  Hopefully, the Easter bunny would smell it and go ahead and come.  :)

She told me, "I am going to fix his plate of food perfect, Mommy."
She did just that.  She worked forever getting it all perfect.

She also requested that the Easter bunny needed a special napkin and some water.  Luckily, I had these cute napkins and a special Easter cup for some fresh water.

It was all ready and waiting to be "eaten."

When we came home later that night, here is what she found....
a trail of jelly beans!

I just loved her face when she saw it!

She couldn't believe it!
The trail led to our front porch where she found a gold bunny waiting by the door.
Just like the movie!!!

Can you see the white footprints too? Hehe...

She quickly checked the cup and found the water was all gone!  Most of the food was
gone too! That bunny must have been hungry!

She quickly headed inside and checked to see if he brought her something.

He sure had!  She found her Easter basket right away!

Wow!  Look at all those goodies.

We had a great Easter eve and was so ready for Easter day.
We headed to church and then enjoyed a yummy dinner with all of our family.

Of course the Easter bunny comes to Nana's too!  We headed over to their house on Sunday evening.
That silly bunny had thrown all of her toys out in the yard!  She had to hun for them.
It was so cute.

Goodness...she is one blessed little girl.

Needless to say, we have a wonderful Easter.  I hope all of you had a wonderful Holiday as well.

Until next time.......
