Heaven has a new angel....

Hello dear friends.  I am hopping on for a minute to let you all know why I will be absent from blogland for a few days.  My dear father-in-law passed away early yesterday morning.  He fought so hard but just couldn't overcome his illness.  He and hubby were pretty close, so he is taking it pretty hard, but we all are o.k. We have explained things to Darbee Rae and she is ok.  She asked me yesterday morning, "Does he have his angel costume on now? He can do things now that he couldn't do here right?"  That's right baby girl.  He is happy and healthy now.   The family is all meeting at our house each day and there are visitors in and out, so I am pretty busy.  Thank you all for your sweet comments and thoughts and prayers.  Will be back soon!

P.S. - I received my ornaments from the ornament swap over at Bumble Bee Lane.  I LOVE them!  I will be sure and post pictures soon.

  1. Holly, Your FIL is in good company. 2012 was a banner year for New Angels. We 'gained' a couple in our family, too. I am glad they are no longer suffering and isn't it nice to picture them as Darbee Rae does..in their 'Angel Costumes..:-) God bless you and your family.

  2. Sincere condolences, knowing he is with the Lord, but the letting go is still difficult. Praise God, you will see him further on down the road, fully glorified!

  3. Holly, wonder if PawPaw found him and told him how blessed he was to have had you for a daughter-in-law. Remember him saying when he was so sick that Stacy would be the one you would marry even though he would not live to see it. He was so right and would have loved Stacy just as you loved Bennie. Hope Bennie tells him all about what a wonderful great grandaughter he has due to the love you and Stacy share. Yep, one Glad Reunion Day. Those sweet thoughts get us thru the rough times. Love all of you.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers! I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could give you a hug right now, but please know I would. I am glad that he is no longer suffering, but with the Lord. It is the rest of us who need the comfort- looking forward to a big reunion some day! What a cute picture and memory you have posted.

    Blessings, hugs, and love,

Your daughter is right Grandpa can do the things that he couldn't down here. He is with you all everyday, and he is an Angel!
I am praying for you all. Keep the Lord in the center and lean on him. I pray that you all can celebrate Grandpa's life that he lived.

Thanks sweetie for the sweet comment that you left on my blog. You are a doll.

Hugs to your hubby, you and your cutie pie Darbee Rae.
    Hugs,

I will be tinking of and praying for your family.
Darbee Rae has a good grasp on life after death for such a young age. What a blessing! And such a relief to live with that assurance during this difficult time.
